It was a century ago when Rudolf Diesel's engine became
reality at MAN's facility. The diesel engine has become a major source of power
on the world's roads and seas and in its factories and power plants. The diesel
engines produced by MAN since the turn of the century have provided the world's
motor vehicles, ships and power plants with more than 600 million horsepower
(440 million kW). Today, as an example, nearly one out of every two modern ships
on the worlds seas is powered by a diesel engine manufactured by MAN.
Performance Diesel, Inc. (PDI) is located in Houston, Texas. We are the MAN diesel engine distributors for the Southern and Eastern United States. Performance Diesel packages and supplies MAN "high-speed" engines for major OEM 's and boat builders. In addition, we carry a full line of replacement parts for many other marine diesel engines, generators, and transmissions. We also offer 24 hr. full-service marine diesel engine repair services.
