Our scope of service includes marine pleasurecraft and commercial propulsion engines. In addtion, we sell and service transmissions, and standy-by and continuous-rated generator sets. Manufacturer’s serviced include MAN©, Detroit Diesel©, Caterpillar©, Cummins©, Perkins©, ZF© Transmissions, Twin Disc©, Northern Lights©, Isuzu©, Onan©, and Westerbeke©. We are the Distributor for MAN high-speed diesel engines for the South-Central and Eastern regions of the United States, and are also OEM sales/service dealers for ZF Transmissions and Northern Lights generators. Our main location is in Houston Texas.

Company History
Performance Diesel, Inc. (PDI), formerly Phillips Performance Diesel, is located in Webster, TX. In 1985, the President of PDI, Malcolm Phillips, took his 30 years of diesel engine experience and built a company focused on the repair and service of high-performance and commercial marine diesel engines. Engines serviced include MAN, Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Cummins, Northern Lights, Onan, etc. We built a solid reputation of expert “on-call” service, providing support to customers in the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, the Caribbean, and South America. As we grew, we were solicited by several OEM engine and generator manufacturers to represent their products. We further expanded our company with a full-line marine parts department, representing replacement and service parts from over 100 different product lines including OEM manufactured engine parts, instrumentation, filters, hoses, hardware, etc. Our parts sales have grown both domestically and internationally. We added a packaging division for our own line of marine generators ranging from 4-100 KW. Our employees take satisfaction in finding solutions for our customer’s needs. We have developed many special relationships over the years through our dedication to quality and a “whatever it takes” attitude toward customer service.
